Meet the Team

Cory Berberich

Founder/Director of Clinical Operations

Cory Berberich is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) dedicated to helping adolescents and adults overcome life's challenges with compassion, evidence-based care, and practical solutions. He believes that every person has a unique story, and that lasting healing begins with feeling genuinely heard, understood, and supported.

Cory has experience working with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, self-esteem, life transitions, and relationship difficulties. While he enjoys working with a variety of presenting concerns, he has developed a particular passion for helping individuals understand how childhood experiences and trauma continue to influence emotions, communication, and relationships in adulthood.

As the founder of Berberich Counseling & Coaching, Cory takes an individualized approach to therapy. Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all model, he works collaboratively with clients to identify meaningful goals and develop practical strategies that foster lasting change. His therapeutic style is warm, authentic, and solution-focused while remaining grounded in evidence-based practices.

Cory earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from McKendree University and his Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Lindenwood University. He is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in General Psychology at Liberty University. His doctoral research examines the lasting impact of childhood trauma, emotional suppression, and societal expectations on adult relationship satisfaction, reflecting his long-term commitment to advancing the field of trauma psychology.

Outside of the counseling office, Cory enjoys spending time with his wife, exploring America's National Parks, distance running, cheering on his favorite sports teams, and remaining active in his local community. He believes that healthy relationships are among the most meaningful aspects of life, and he is passionate about helping clients strengthen their relationships with themselves, their loved ones, and the communities around them.

Whether someone is seeking therapy for the first time or returning after previous counseling, Cory considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they pursue healing, resilience, and personal growth.
